Artist Statement

“What I love about painting is how it speaks directly to our bodies, hearts, and souls—often more profoundly than it speaks to our minds, if we allow it. It’s a magical way of quieting the monkey mind. You can simply stand before a painting and feel it in your bones, let it stir your blood, and communicate with your subconscious and higher consciousness. What a beautiful paradox that a two-dimensional canvas can evoke such multidimensional experiences.

As a shaman, I travel through light and dark, both cosmically and into the deep hidden realms of Mother Earth. By embracing impermanence, we open up to infinity and eternity. It turns out our human bodysuit is no less transient and fragile than the other lifeforms on Earth. But we can have fun in this magical playground when we embrace our creative energies—the life force energy pumping through our veins.
